Monster in Law is going to most likely do Birth numbers while Kicking and Screaming will do... nearly no numbers.

I just read the book and if the movie is anything like the book, then SW3 will easily meet my prediction.

MAY 6TH
- House of Wax 13/30 (the Paris Hilton campaign will backfire)
- Kingdom of Heaven 25/74
- Crash 8/40
- Mindhunters 5/13 (it looks good, I love Katyrn Morris's hairdo in the trailer but the movie has been delayed too long and can readily be downloaded)
MAY 13TH
- Kicking & Screaming 22/70
- Monster-in-Law 12/40
- Unleashed 27/75 (Man On Fire numbers, everyone I know who I saw the trailer with thinks it looks very good and emotional)
MAY 19TH
- Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith 88/123/283 (the trailer I saw with Sin City was very divided. I heard some woohoos with clappings but I also saw some people snicker about it and heard "Oh please". I think it will end up with Matrix Reloaded numbers)
MAY 27TH
- Madagascar 74/295 (I think I will take back what I said about CGI movies when Robots didnt open that big and the Valiant bombing in the UK. Maybe people are tired of CGI movies)
- The Longest Yard 53/140

A $2M opening weekend? ...right.
Birth opened in like 500 theaters, Monster-in-Law will most likely open in over 3,000.

Na man, like I said, I don't think it's that so much as they're getting more selective. No longer can any CGI movie be a huge hit no matter what. Madagascar however is from the makers of Shrek and Shrek 2 (and not just the animators like Shark Tale ) and looks hillarious, so I think it's safe to say that it will be a huge hit.

Valient also had the tagline of "from the creators of Shrek 1 and 2" in their trailer but it bombed in the UK. Some of the audience cant really distinguish between producer and director of a movie which is why it annoys me when they used taglines like from the "producer of Old School" to sell Eurotrip. Anyhow my reason also for going a little low on Madagascar was because CGI mammals have already been done in Ice Age and Father of the Pride so it offers nothing new to the table. I did love the trailer though

Funny numbers here for Kicking & Screaming.
I was checking cause I can't get a vibe if it is an annoying or funny movie with Will Farrell screaming at the kids in the kids soccer movie.
**************************
Anyway, the first half of the people predicting it - had it between 50 to 70 range mostly.
The last half went high with most of the numbers over 100.
Pretty big difference.
