damn good hold for Sin City. It's off a lot from last Friday, but it looks like it'll manage to drop under 50% and take #2 for the weekend. Sahara will be #1 with like $19M, so congrats to whoever said it would.

Impressive for Sahara, and not bad at all for Sin City, thats a damn big increase from thursday, might be able to pull a drop under 50% if it has a decent saturday increase.

Solid (more than I was expecting) for Sahara. $18M should be in order.

Fever Pitch should be at a solid $13M this weekend. That's less than expected, but still a solid performance for this movie.

Relatively nice hold for Sin City.

Sin City's drop looks huge, but it's multiplier will be about .8 better. I'm looking at at least 14-15 million for it, damn good stuff. Sahara did just as well as I expected, I knew it wouldn't do as bad as those insane 12 million and under predictions. Just because a movie looks bad and is something internet folks crack jokes about doesn't mean the general public doesn't have interest, especially when it has this much appeal. Also, good for Fever Pitch which should have strong legs from WOM, it'll definitely make back it's budget, though it didn't set the world on fire either.

Whoo hoo, glad Sin City didn't drop that bad. Quite a bit more than I was expecting for Sahara, I predicted an 11 million weekend...

Nnoooo, my score for Fever Pitch is gonna be crap. Sahara will do about 4 or 5 more than what I predicted, which is a decent prediction I think.

I think Fever Pitch will take #2 and Sin City will get #3 for the weekend.

And on Sahara over Fever Pitch.

Action over Comedy as the summer approaches.

Nice for Sahara. It's the type to have a high weekend multiplier, so I think it can reach 20m.

I wish I had not increased my Fever Pitch prediction above 16m for Survivor and Big Brother. At least by Derby score will be great on that one.

Eeew, I don't know who would want to go and look at Penislope Cruz on a big screen! That's nasty! But whatever . It must have been people into pain ;).

It should have been FEVER PITCH on top, but whatever. It's not surprising that it's SAHARA. I predicted it would be SAHARA, I was just hoping it would be FEVER PITCH.

Well, my derby is screwed for the openers.

Good for Fever Pitch, though I was expecting a little more.

Much better than expected for Sahara. Looks like it'll hit $18M this weekend after all.

Sin City's drop isn't that bad, either. It could have been a lot worse.

Yes, but as long as I know it is an independent production that Paramount bought the rights for in the US. Don´t know how much did they exactly spend, but in any case, after DVd and all they should make a nice profit, if the film keeps going well.

It doesn't like that Paramount paid money to acquire this movie.

It seem likes a "rent-a-system" deal for me.

Once again, Paramount opted not to be a 50-50 partner on the movie. Instead, it will receive a fee for distributing it domestically and in five territories outside the U.S.

BTW, that's also a nice number for The Ring Two. Finally a drop under 50% unless it has a weak weekend multiplier.

Pretty good for Sahara. It looks to be another Hidalgo rather than a Flight of the Phoenix.

That's because Fever Pitch sneaks inflated its gross for the previous weekend.

Good point, I wish I thought of that when making my predictions.

Thanks a lot for the article, although I am not totally sure I completely understood it. So that means Paramount took even less risks with the film? If so, they should make some money out of it pretty soon, uh?

Guess Who seems to be really doing well. Fever Pitch hardly hurt it.

I doubt Sahara will get a good multiplier this weekend. It's got a fanbase, so I don't think it will get more than 18 million.
