This looks effective, if an unnecessary remake. That said, it's opening over a crowded frame and may get lost in the shuffle. |

The trailer is good and the cast is solid, but if it's anything like the original than the mainstream won't dig it at all. I see Vacancy numbers at best. :My Prediction: $7M OW / $20M DOM |

Beyond the whole "It's a remake! I'M SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!" reaction, it seems quite good. Rod Lurie is a talented filmmaker. |

The tracking for this is much better than I expected. I'll admit the TV spots are really good. I certainly want to see it. Still can't see it doing as well as tracking suggests. |

It looks like the movie won't crack $6 million for the weekend. I am seeing it Monday. Hope my $5 ticket will help its box office a bit.
