Not bad for Beauty Shop, but's going to need a 200+% Friday increase to get to 14 million.

Not exactly. It needs Johnson Family Vacation's opening Wedensday-to-weekend multiplier, and JFV fell on the Easter weekend, so Beauty Shop will have a higher Saturday and Sunday, relatively, and thus doesn't need as much increase as JFV did on its Friday. Of course, JFV didn't drop at all on Thursday, and we'll see how Beauty Shop does.

I don't think it will drop much, since this looks like a backloaded movie.

I'm glad it was MILLION DOLLAR BABY instead of BE COOL that stayed in the top 10 for Wednesday...
BEAUTY SHOP was pretty much dead-on with my Wednesday prediction of 2.1 Million for it.
Here's what I had predicted for the rest of the week:
Thursday - 2 Million Friday - 7.1 Million Saturday - 9.8 Million Sunday - 6.5 Million

Beauty Shop did around what I expected. Which I consider a bit sub-par for it. I'd be surprised if the movie crossed $50 million in total.

It'll increase 250% on Friday? I KNOW you're joshing me, some schools are still out and awareness was relatively high of the Wednesday release, not to mention most holdovers wouldn't increase that much anyways.

Personally, I see around $1.85 million on Thursday, $4.6-4.7 million on Friday, leading to a $13.5 million 3-day weekend.
