At my theater.
Robots is on 4 screens, plus one interlock screen in the day.
Hostage is on 2 screens.
Passion Recut opens on one screen (I am noticing the the running time is 6 minutes longer than the original, this means there is added footage?).
Should be an interesting weekend.

its suppose to be 6 mins shorter...prob have more trailers on it or something, i know we were limited to no trailers last year....this year there is no restrictions, thus thats about 10- 12 mins, which would be your extra 6 mins, just a guess.
anywho
4 robots
1 hostage
1 passion

Shark Tale played on 5 screens, plus two interlocked screens in the daytime. Ice Age only played on three screens, so five (tecnically 4 and a half) screens for Robots is fair enough.

I don't feel like typing out a whole crowd report.
I saw The Pacifier today in a 400 seater. It was around 60% full, which is not that bad for a weekday. I didn't really pay attention to the trailers and actually missed a few. Though I was forced to see this, I actually didn't think it was that bad. It was... funny. Seriously, the trailers made it seem like Daddy Day Care 2, but it was so much better than the ridiculous Daddy Day Care was. Vin Diesel, in his first Disney role, did a decent job. This is a hardcore Disney flick, but I enjoyed it. It wasn't great or anything, but I'd definently recommend it to all kids (my sister loved it), and Disney fans. I'm not a fan of Disney, but this was fairly decent. C+

The Passion Recut is only playing in three independent theaters in Portland, none of which are within 30 minutes of me, and I live in the middle of the city.

Most of the theaters people have been posting on here only have it on one screen, but my local theater (24 Screens) is playing it on two.

Here is the matinee report.
Passion only sold 5 tickets in it's first show, and 6 in it's second show. Uh Oh!
Hostage (both 200 seaters)
12:00 - 16% full.
1:15 - 20% full.
2:50 - 17% full.
4:10 - 24% full.
5:45 - 33% full.
(Not bad, considering that night business will get increasingly better).
Robots
12:15 (250 seater) - 24% full.
1:00 (300 seater) - 8% full.
1:30 (200 seater) - 14% full.
2:00 (600 seater) - 8% full.
2:45 (250 seater) - 9% full.
3:35 (300 seater) - 12% full.
4:05 (150 seater) - 19% full.
4:05 (200 seater) - 3% full.
4:35 (600 seater) - 10% full.
5:20 (250 seater) - 39% full.
6:10 (300 seater) - 34% full so far (with 10 minutes left till the show).
(Very good for a Friday matinee, about on the same range as Shark Tale).
All in all, as far as Friday matinees go, it was average.

Sounds about what would be expected from The Passion Recut. Maybe 10-15 tickets per show is about what I was anticipating, possibly picking up a little bit tomorrow to give it around $3 million for the weekend.

Zingy, do you have a fake ID? I'm wondering how you see the R-rated flicks you do, because I know you're only 16 (I believe!). Heh.

Hehe. In the past few months, I've discovered a way to get into R-rated movies without sneaking in or giving your money to another movie. It's pretty simple. When I'm going with friends, we'll have a parent give us their credit card to purchase tickets online (sometimes), and once we get to the theater, print it out of the machine (so you don't get questioned by the box office peeps), get your tickets ripped (no questions asked), and just walk in. :-$
Now, if we don't get a credit card, then we would buy a ticket for another movie and walk into the R-rated movie. There's a lot of occasions, though, where I just go with my dad, who also loves movies. That's how I'm going tonight.
