 ROBOTS Discussion & Prediction Thread
Robots
Summary - Even in a world populated entirely by mechanical beings Rodney Copperbottom (McGregor) is considered a genius inventor. Rodney dreams of two things, making the world a better place and meeting his idol, the master inventor Bigweld (Brooks). On his journey he encounters Cappy (Halle Berry), a beautiful executive `bot with whom Rodney is instantly smitten, the nefarious corporate tyrant Ratchet (Kinnear) who locks horns with Rodney, and a group of misfit `bots known as the Rusties, led by Fender (Williams) and Piper Pinwheeler (Bynes).

Prediction
There hasnt been much talk/hype for the movie yet, so I do feel it will likely take the Shark Tale opening weeked route and make about 45mil ( if it gets close to 4,000 theaters ) But end up with a bit of better wom, and get a total of about 175mil
Opening - 45mil Total - 175mil

40/130
I don't see why it'll do all that great, but it is a CGI kids movie and has Robin Williams so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Robots has had pathetic TV spots and trailers, but it is still a comedy and that will save it from becoming another Treasure Planet.
Opening: $34.0
Total: $110.5
