Aviator lost almost 500 theatres from last week and it still only dropped less than 11%. Wow... |

Fantastic for Hitch. In fact, I believe that's one of the lowest second weekend drops for any movie opening over $40M. Amazing for The Aviator, down about 11% despite shedding a lot of screens. |

Algren wrote: Aviator is going for that $100 Million, deserves it!!!!! Hitch!!!! ![]() BOM says it was #1 for the weekend. Constantine also made $2M less on Saturday, so Hitch has it in the bag. |

Yes. Hitch kept the number one spot according to Mojo. Algren I am not sure if Aviator can reach 100 million. Unless it really wins Best Picture (which I hope it will) it will start dropping even more theatres and I think it might end around 95 million or something. Hopefully I am wrong. ![]() |

The Aviator is definently going to hit $100 million. With the drops it's been getting, and Oscars around the corner, it doesn't even have to win Best Picture to stir up another $12 million. |

Not sure about that , but just thinking about it, I can't think of many that were that high. The closest I can think of at the moment is What Women Want - $34Mio and Runaway Bride -$35Mio. Impressive. EDIT: Forgot about 50 First Dates - $39Mio (I think) |

Now as for the horror/action/killing movies, they all droped under 20% including the openers and most droped under 15% with one acualy increasing and some just staying flat. I said that Constantine a drop anywhere between 10%-25% any thing beyond 25% will not happen  |
