So the average 007 prediction on my website is 1,156,600 admissions for opening weekend and 5,000,000 total...

With all the hype surrounding it, I expected Bond to do looks 2m+ admissions. Regardless that would be a great opening.

So 007 is heading towards at least 1.1m admissions - very impressive considering most theaters still work at 30-50 % capacity...

And DUNE will drop probably 55-60 %...

Amazing. How is the WoM there? I am assuming WoM is through-the-roof there because the reactions here are pretty positive as well.

Thanks!

So 007 is still on track for 1.1m opening, while DUNE's drop will be around 43 % (very impressive considering it went from the biggest to the smallest auditoriums). DUNE also hit the 1m admissions mark on Saturday (4th movie of the year to do so).

BTW, as a little help how to interprete German admissions:
1m admissions = $100m domestic grosser
2m admissions = $200m domestic grosser
3m admissions - well, you get the idea...

Thank you Mark. Where do you see Bond end up with? 4m or 5m admissions?

Second 007 weekend looks like 900,000 admissions - could even cross 1m, but sunny weather over the weekend might prevent that... NTTD will pass F&F9 today to become the No. 1 movie of the 2020s and also might pass the 2m admission mark tonight or early Saturday...

That's a great hold given that the opening weekend would have been inflated with anticipation.

Yes, because older generations watch Bond movies too here and they usually need some time to make it into the theaters...

007 drops by 23 %, DUNE by 21 % on a weekend the distributors skipped any wide releases...

They'll make up next week for that with 7 wide releases...

Bond takes full benefit of the barren market, not that it needed any help.

More great holds for 007 (-23 %) and DUNE (-24 %) plus a superb opening by a local family film (opening three times bigger than BOSS BABY 2)...

Next weekend VENOM 2, HALLOWEEN KILLS and FRENCH DISPATCH...
