Another BOMB sequel for WB after Analyze That and The Whole Ten Yards as well as the disappointing gross of Ocean's Twelve.
Warner Bros. doesn't know how to market sequels for life.

Miss Congeniality wasn't that badly recieved. It did have surprisingly good legs and a surprising amount of cross-demo audiences. I think it can open to a $30 million four day.
As for the four day release, thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Ever. And I'm a hardcore Bush hater.

I agree, the trailer got great reaction from the Meet the Fockers crowd (The Whole Ten Yards trailer was booed, that's why it flopped).

it most likely wont drop on friday, its not a huge blockbuster like star wars and the matrix, and its opening sone time before summer so its opening day wont be incredibly big. I expect a 50%+ increase on friday, it just does not seem like the tipe of film that would fall on a friday.

The reason that Analyze That bombed was because it looked stale, and The Whole Ten Yards bombed because no one on the face of the planet asked for a sequel to it.
Miss Congeniality is insanely popular among female audiences (most of my girlfriends own it, as do I), so I could see Miss Congeniality 2 doing well, even with the idiotic release date.

Plus, some guys kind of like it too
Those guys being me and Chandler from Friends.
I heard the traiers been running with Fockers in America - if so, then this one could see a huge boost in its chances.

Ms congeniality was enjoyable. The trailer looks so bland and Meh though. I dont know how much awareness is out there for it. if people know its coming out, it should do mediocre, but pull in less than the original movie.

in todays world when a sequal can open with a robust amount more than the first I would say this film also fits in that category, The trailer for this film got a very good reaction from the crowd as good or better than the reaction for the Hitch trailer. The awarness levels for this film will be there coming march and this film will deliver like any hiped sequal with a very well received trailer and hopefuly good T.V. spots would do this is not one of those films that need great WOM or critical prase to do good.

It's going to open up good, but its not going to have very good legs, especially compared to the original. This sequel looks very uneccessary to me. The first one wasn't even that good in my opinion.
