EZ’s Weekend Box Office Game-Spring 2005 is now open for registration.

It’s a new year and that means a new set of Weekend Box Office Games. The year’s first game (Spring 2005) will cover movies released from February through April. Registration is open now and the first price changes will be on Thursday Feb 3.

In an effort to make the Spring game unique from the Summer and Winter games, there have been some changes made to the rules. I’ve added two new categories to the game. The first category, called Spring Breaker, includes 8 movies that could make or break your studio. They all have an initial price of 20 million and you can only keep 5 of them in your final portfolio. The second category is the Oscar category. I’ve added the Best Picture nominated films to the Marketplace. They will fluctuate in price until they leave the Marketplace on Feb 27 (the day of the Oscars). If you keep the title that wins the Oscar, you will receive an additional 6 million in funds.
