 New Release Dates (12/30-1/7)
Maybe more later..........
MINDHUNTERS-- pushed back(again) to May 13, 2005 (wide release)
(Old release date : March 11,2005)
Will it become another Darkness(hit) or Suspect Zero(flop)?

Or will it just go Direct-to-DVD. It really is a shame as it is a really good movie.

MINDHUNTERS was directed by Renny harlin.
Both MINDHUNTERS and DARKNESS was moved around the Dimension/ Miramax release schedule for years, even set to be going straight to video earlier this year.
Dimension/ Miramax finally releases DARKNESS after heavily edited that movie to get PG-13 rating, and that movie becomes a sleeper hit in US.
Will Dimension/ Miramax edit MINDHUNTERS to get PG-13 rating?

They are actually even better than in Final Destination. Really good flick.

I've been waiting for Mindhunters for, like, two years now. I've heard some good things about it. If they don't stop moving it around, it will lose more audience than it already has.

Darkness is hardly a sleeper hit.
THE NOTEBOOK was a sleeper hit.

Maybe Darkness isn't a sleeper hit.........
But it soululd be a surprise hit.......
Before the movie opened, many people think that this movie would become a box office flop in US......
However, it has a better-than-expected $6.1 million opening weekend, and it's going to be a very profitable acquisition for Miramax/Dimension .

What is the problem with this movie? This is worse than Hero.

It's Renny Harlin. The hack that brought us Driven, Deep Blue Sea, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Cutthroat Island, Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.
Unless it is a miracle, and it's actually an improvement for Harlin (doubtful!) don't expect anything.
20th Century Fox at one time dumped it and considered it straight-to-video material. I don't always recommend people read the IMDB reviews, but I would go take a look at them, a vast majority of people who've seen this think it reeks. Which is expected for Harlin.
(coming soon! Algren's defense of the crapfest which is Cliffhanger).

I have actually seen Mindhunters and not only it is a good movie, but it made my top 10 of 2004 topping many of last year's blockbusters. A good serial killer film, much better than that Taking Lives and Twisted crap last year.

Yep, I agree - its a really good serial killer film. Some surprises, nice action and a good ending!

20th Century Fox dumped the script, not the movie.

I've actually seen it already and enjoyed it. Not the best serial killer film, but one of the better films in that catergory.

I'm starting to think that Mindhunters will ever be released. Summer release is great but I doubt it will last.
