Boogeyman
(From the studio behind THE GRUDGE, and same producer, Sam Ramai)

House Of Wax

Dark Water and The Ring 2 will enter $100 million-territory.

TCM2 is not out until 2006, I fear.

Mindhunters will probably gross between $40-$50 million. I saw it a while ago, and while it is good, and rather suspensful, it has been delayed for so long it may not have a proper release. As long as it is not edited to a PG-13 to pacify, and is released in a wide release it should follow numbers similar to Final Destination 2.

House Of Wax
(Wrong Turn like, horror remake with Elisha Cuthbert, Chad Michael Murray, Paris Hilton and Jared Paedilaki)

Huge ass bomb.

Alone In The Dark
(Uwe Boll video game adaptation starring Steven Dorff, Christian Slater and Tara Reid)

Huge ass bomb. Who wants to see Christian Slater and Tara Reid. Who the hell is Steven Dorff anyways?

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
(Prequel to 2003's massive successful TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake!)

Why?

Land Of The Dead
(George Romero's new addition to the "OF THE DEAD" Horror franchise)

I love the whole franchise but why do we need another one.

Devils Rejects
(Sequel to the money making success, house of 1000 corpses)

I'm interested because I like 1000 corpses but it was really unneeded.

Constantine? (Thriller.. :? )
New thriller starring Keanu Reeves)

Ewwww Keanu Reeves

Underworld 2
(Sequel to the hit 2003 movie, Underworld with Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman)

I might go see cuz Beckinsale's a cutey.

Cursed
(Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven (SCREAM makers) team up again to bring us this new wearwolf movie. Starring Christina Ricci, Skeet Ulrich, Shannon Elizabeth, Omar Epps, Mya, Mandy Moore, Cory Feldman and Lance Bass)

Corey Feldman and Lance Bass. That just brings the chances of this succeeding to a minimal.

Mindhunters
(Slasher film, in March, starring Val Kilmer, Christian Slater, Johnny Lee Miller, said to have FINAL DESTINATION like death scenes)

Val Kilmer and Christian Slater! Wowy! What a bomb!

Well, horror is on an uptick right now so at least I doubt all of those will bomb.

So the big question is: What if the Studios responsible for the films you've listed above give these films a PG-13 Rating??? Do you think they will be as good as having them an R Rating??? I mean you know how studios want more $$$ and by giving them a PG-13 Rating, this will assure them that they do make more $$$ than if they were R Rated.. Besides, many of the films you've listed, I've seen on either HBO or got suckered into plopping down $$$ to rent them and none of them, NONE OF THEM deserve to be R Rated, except for TCM Remake which was a piece of shit compared to the original..

It depends on the film as to whether a PG-13 or R rating is best. Films like The Ring were fine as PG-13, and would actually probably not have worked as well as R rated films. The Grudge could go either way. I, personally, did not like the film, and will probably at least rent the Unrated edition, but I'm not sure if an R rating would have made the film any better.

i think the devil's rejects will do pretty good. house of 1000 corpses did pretty good business at the box office and it seems to have gained a pretty decent cult following. i'd say $21 million for it. As for Land of the Dead, it's the movie i've looked forward to for 15 years. George Romero finally is making a 4th "dead" film. With the success of the Dawn remake, Land seems destined to do pretty good business as well. i would guess somewhere around $50 million at this point. Lord knows i'll be there opening day, the same with devil's rejects.

I saw the original "Dawn of the Dead" and enjoyed it. I actually need to pick up the recently released Collector's Edition. I will probably try and find the other two in the series as well sometime.

Supposedly, The Grudge 2 will be coming out in 2005. I doubt that though, and figure if it's filmed in 2005, it'll have a release in the spring of 2006, kind of mirroring The Ring 2.

I think The Ring 2 will be the winner of horror in 2005, obviously. Definitely over 100 million, maybe even over 120.

I get this sneaky feeling that HOUSE OF WAX will pull a BUTTERFLY EFFECT type hit on our asses.

No one really thought that would be a hit, and it made nearly $60M.

I rekon with CHAD MICHAEL MURRRAY, ELISHA CUTHBERT and PARIS HILTON, there will be alot of media attention. And i think the movie has a chance of passing $30M now.
