Bradley, everybody likes to have fun, so keep trying. People here take their box office very seriously, and you've got to choose your words carefully, because it's been a never ending cycle for people to make statements that something was a BOMB, and it was a disappointment, but not due to logic, just due to it not meeting their own lofty expectations that were obviously way too high.

In the past, there have been many clueless members who have used the terms BOMB and disappointment, and they weren't having fun, they were being serious, and it was only ignorance that led them to make foolish statements like that in front of everyone, so whenever people see yet another person do something like that, the first thing that will cross their minds,is it's a very uneducated comment, and not that it was just a comment from somebody having some fun.

The Incredibles did just fine. It was a huge smash success, and it'll do awesome in home video. It's not PIXAR'S highest grossing movie, but it didn't have to be. It was still a substantial gross for a November release. I'm sure they aren't upset at all by the "incredible" box office...*rimshot*

Thank-you for your kind (and logical) words...

:D

It's a dissapointment to the people who set high standards, thinking this would be the highest grossing Pixar movie, even though Finding Nemo opened to the exact same amount and had those summer weekdays. It's a dissapointment to those who thought that The Incredibles would do huge numbers, even though the competition was so big this year, it didn't have enough to fight it all off. To the rest, it did good.

I won't tell a soul, and besides I'm recovering nicely from my first ever e-beating (and I've been around hanging around various internet forums for getting on 5 years now), and with the perspective of time I can begin to see that I guess I was kinda asking for it.

(Lesson Learned: No more fun games with the word "bomb" in them for me!)
