I'll definitely be seeing it, and since it's opening at the end of spring, pretty much near the beginning of summer, it'll have good legs, I believe.

I'm eagerly looking forward to this and I still believe alot of this stuff happened, especially since reputable Clairavoyants/Psychics(Ed and Lorraine Warren) went in the house shortly thereafter the events and they swear they felt something bad in the house.. Either way, here is my BIG PREDICTION:
3 DAY TOTAL: 50 Million
OVERALL TOTAL: 120 Million Domestically..
This will be very popular like TCM remake was(even though it sucked when compared to the Original)

Yeah, I dont know how this is gonna do. These type of movies come a dime a dozen now. The original was very mediocre. Hopefully they give this movie something fresh to it, there's plenty of opportunity for improvement, it has potential.
For now
Opening - 18mil
Final - 54mil

Just look at The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Grudge, Dawn of the Dead, The Ring. All remakes. This will follow that trend.
Open: $33.4m
Total: $86.3m

Wasn't there at one time two Amityville Horror movies in the works at the same time both scheduled around Labor Day weekend 2004 to open?

Okay, what are you smoking? You must be insane!
Anyway, it will be successful, but The Ring Two is going to be the champion when all is said and done.
25/87 (I see better legs than TCM Remake)

I'll tell ya: I don't think you and alot of folks around here are in a position at the moment to be saying I'm insane for predicting 50 Million when this was the exact same thing you said to me about predicting the RING II not to gross over 50 Million and look what happened?? 36 Million and lower than what the Grudge made and you were OWNED as a result.. The whole Asian PG-13 Horror is beginning to stagnate and grow sour and finally an R-Rated Horror movie done the right way to show folks how it's done..

I didn't realize that before I further investigated the date of the 1st post.. In the end, it doesn't matter to me if it stays or gets locked.. I just know that Amityville is gonna so OWN the RING II next month and open to a surprisingly high weekend, that I'm hoping to have lightening strike twice and be dead on with another horror movie and I have a damn good feeling I will.. \:D/

Ring Two most likely wont get to 88mil+
