Curious George is traditional animation. There is also Flushed Away from Dreamworks which scheduled for June 2006 as of now. That's only a month away from Over The Hedge, so I'm guessing that one of them will move.

The Incredibles should land at #2 on the Top Opening Weekend list, and The Polar Express should land somewhere around #10.

Yeah, CG is.

And that explains it about Flushed Away. :) I didn't think Dreamworks would release both of their yearly computer animation films within a month.

From Comingsoon.net:

"The film will be a mockumentary based on the groundbreaking revelation that surfing was actually invented by penguins. In it, a documentary crew will take audiences behind the scenes of the most competitive, heartbreaking and dangerous display of surfing known: the Penguin World Surfing Championship."

Spider-Man, Shrek 2's first day was on a Wednesday, and I think it pulled around $10-11 million.

I know, but I am starting with the first Friday since Nemo and Incredibles didn't have those 2 days like Shrek 2 did.

4th Day Total
Finding Nemo $6,945,560 $77,197,270
The Incredibles $3,802,480 $74,270,103

Nemo has moved ahead, and will remain ahead for Tuesday. However with Veterans day approaching, I think we can see The Incredibles earn more on Wednesday and Thursday.

In the long run, it will probably trail Nemo going into Thanksgiving week due to the low weekday numbers. However, it might be able to move ahead at that point.

As expected, The Incredibles closed most of the gap with Nemo with those huge Veterans Day numbers. I will fall behind by at least 10m, and likely ~15m with next week's low weekday numbers, however, I think it will then be able to catch all the way up with Thanksgiving weekend. In December though, it will fall back behind and never again catch up.
