Warner Bros. is unspooling musical "The Phantom of the Opera" (first on 600 screens, then wider in January).

That's a really crowded month

Flight of the Phoenix and the Dark should've been released on December third, when they won't have as much competition. They'll have a tough time opening against Meet the Fockers.

Pretty much all what I have expected. Fat Albert in 2800+ theatres? Blech...

I hope The Dark will get a decent gross. It deserves it.

I'd hope so, but a horror movie doesn't exactly seem like something that people want to see on Christmas :? I am afraid it'll get lost in the crowded month.

Expected, but still amazing for Ocean's Twelve and Meet the Fockers.
