 Re: Marvels #'s Aquabro 2 presales is starting on 20th and so we will get some data on if there is any interest in the movie. It is facing an uphill battle and I am not certain the studio is even promoting it that hard. We barely seen any promotion for it.

Re: Marvels #'s Disney really needs to put on the breaks on Marvel and start from scratch in a few years, atleast ignoring what has come after endgame.
They have lost the core fanbase and the average moviegoer is tired of superhero films.

Re: Marvels #'s They cast two nobodies alongside Brie Larson, gave it to an extremely young director, removed 'Captain' from the title potentially confusing some audience members, the plot was bizarre and nonsensical and the trailers had no stakes, three female leads in what is traditionally a genre that mostly men see..... you can say that Endgame hype wasn't there anymore which is true, but Disney also made some really bad creative (from a financial standpoint) and marketing decisions that led to this.
But this is probably one of the most shocking and biggest bombs ever. $400M+ to barely breaking $80M is insane. And worldwide it's even worse.

Re: Marvels #'s Flash also didn't have as much of a chance so I do give it a bit more credit in hindsight. Release date wise it had Spider-verse open two weeks earlier, Transformers 1 week earlier. Spider-verse was at $280M by the end of Flash's OW with another $27M that weekend. That was on top of GOTG3 7 weeks earlier already at $345M by Flash's OW. 3 supermovies over 7 weekends was too much.
Elemental got hit hard from the crowded market and another animated movie already at nearly $300M. Just like Mission Impossible getting squeezed by Barbenheimer.
Marvels on the other hand did have the third weekend of Freddy's and 5th of Swift but had no other movie make $10M+ and only two over $5m+. It had a completely open market which Flash didn't have. If Flash had the level of competition Marvels had, I feel like it could maybe have done $65M/$150M.
