New showings are up and I got a 1045 2D. Still way too late but atleast I dont have to wear those stupid glasses for 3 hours.

I'm trying to get tickets for Saturday afternoon/evening and there's not much left. Looks like 2nd weekend for me.

I've seen some of the theatres in my area having showings at 0230-0250 and I kind of thought about that for a second because a friend wanted to see ti that opening Thursday evening but that was just too late even for me. We settled on a Friday 2330 show which will be my third time at that point. Hope it lives up to my expectations.

Are all the showings for your theater up already? Theaters around me aren't fully updated till Tuesday evening before the weekend

Sure looks like it. Don't see where they could add more times but will have to keep checking.

ddd I was thinking of going with friends next weekend but literally every show at a reasonable time is sold out in the three theatres around me. I may have to disconnect from the internet for the week after to avoid spoilers until I see it. God damn it.

I disagree. The pre-sale numbers are off the charts regardless of measurements. This has nothing to do with playtimes. This movie is just the most anticipated movie of all time maybe.

I have been part of this since the beginning. I am sticking with it.

It will blow away previews from last year (39m). Runtime won't affect it until later at night, and then theaters can give it other screens since they don't need to play the other movies at 10 pm. I still see them adding shows over the weekend. There might be one or 2 other 10m grosses next week, 4 or 5 with 5m, and only 8 over 2m. A lot of screens available if they need it. And you know theaters make their money off the concession stand. Better to sell out another Endgame show then have empty seats for holdovers.

I think they might also delay adding mid-day showings because they want to get people to buy AM tickets, so they can sell more in total.

I wouldn't be surprised by 300m.

Not even the horrific Age of Ultron got bad reviews so I doubt this will.

According to someone on BOT with access to really reliable data on pre-sales, Endgame has officially passed TFA as the biggest pre-sales movie in North America. I'm sure Fandango or whoever will officially report it soon enough, but seriously this is absolute fucking madness IMO. I honestly didn't think TFA would be topped for another decade, and what makes this even more impressive is the fact that it had a two month head start on top of the whole month of December where people had ample time to spread out buying their tickets due to the holidays being in effect.

Endgame has none of those advantages, but is destroying both TFA and IW anyways. I am really wondering just how frontloaded this thing is going to be regardless of WOM, but as of right now its showing no signs of slowing down.

The presales is not surprising in the least. The demand is there. Propelled CM to a billion dollars. Folks are gonna rush out to see this next chapter obviously and apparently bringing granny and the grand children too. Expected. I still don’t think it’s getting 300 million even with 0240 showings.

Disney really went all out with their slate this year in order to make up for the amount of $$$ they spent buying Fox. It will be interesting to see how the next few years compare for them. They still have lots of aces under their sleeve like sequels to Zootopia and Black Panther.
