Explain, BJ, explain. Only if it expands to 4000+ theatres and stays there for weeks with an EXTRA marketing push will it have the best multiplier of '05 and hit $140m

By Opening PTA: The American Pie movies (Weitz ONLY did the first, though) and Weitz's other films...

American Pie 2 - $45,117,985 / $14729 PTA
American Wedding - $33,369,440 / $10520 PTA
American Pie - $18,709,680 / $7460 PTA
Down To Earth - $17,268,883 / $6850 PTA
In Good Company - $14,289,750 / $9125 PTA
About A Boy - $8,557,630 / $7090 PTA

Among the actual Weitz films, In Good Company has the biggest PTA. When the two other American Pie films are included, it drops to #3. Very very very impressive.

It's destined to fall AT LEAST 30% Super-Bowl Weekend.

So...no. Give up. AND SEE THE FRICKIN' FILM IN A THEATRE OTHER THAN A DISCOUNT ONE! GIVE IT $8 MORE!

And recommend it to all your friends, too!

Heh, do you guys remember back in the VHS days how all the Miramax videos of movies that bombed in theatres would have a little white circle next to the title that would say "Recommend this title to your friends and family!". Ah, the hopes of getting back in black.

I still haven't seen it in theatres. I'm going to try and see Million Dollar Baby, Sideways, and The Aviator first.

Miramax for the most part are/were good in selling movies to the public.

Where did you see it then?

Hey! A friend gave it to me. He gave me Million Dollar Baby too, but it's in German or something.

BJ, would you bet your VW Jetta on it? I'd buy you a Porsche (the exact one Topher Grace buys in the movie...what a horror. The ugliest Porsche I've ever seen...a ruined one) for your Jetta. Bet on?...Oh, snap. Ya know. I'll go for the gold. I'll bet a McLaren F1.

So, you say this film will never drop over 30%? I can't think of a single movie to do that in the past couple years. Pirates of the Carribean came, close though.

Im not shure but I think that the only film to come out in the late 1990s to make more $$$ in under 1600 theaters was The Blair Witch Project and we all know that made over 100m
