Hahaha, poor Zing. Thank god no one constantly bugs me about my girlfriend, and I've even posted pictures of her.

A double feature, though I'm not proud of the second one...

Guess Who
AMC Marple 10
12:15PM, 400 seats, 75% full (great for a first showing of the day)

Trailers
Bewitched (a few laughs; looks fun)
Kicking and Screaming (lots of laughs; looks really good)
A Lot Like Love (a few laughs; I might give it a try)
The Longest Yard (some laughs; this Adam Sandler fanatic will be there opening night)
Lords of Dogtown (nothin'; eh, looks okay)
The Wedding Crashers (not much; looks hilarious)

Movie
Guess Who was a lot better than I could have hoped for. It was downright hilarious. To be honest, I didn't expect a whole lot from this. I was just hoping to get a few laughs and walk out with a smile, but I could not stop laughing in this movie. The non-stop raciest jokes worked well in this movie (similar to Bringing Down the House). Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac had an undeniable connection as they were at each others throats throughout the movie. It was a very fun, non-stop laughs comedy. B+

...and then, I saw this disaster...

Robots
AMC Marple 10
2:30PM, 500 seats, 85% full (another great showing)

Trailers
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (lots of talking; the trailer looked even better on the big screen)
Herbie: Fully Loaded (whispers; ewwww)
Madagascar (lots of laughs; I'm beginning to question any company that's not Pixar, so no)
Kicking and Screaming (lots of laughs; I'll check it out)
Fever Pitch (nothin'; mayyybe)
Zathura (chatter; a complete Jumanji rip-off)

Movie
The sudden decline of CGI animated movies continues with this mess of a movie. Robots was not a good movie. The animations seriously failed to impress me. I *think* Shark Tale had slightly better animations. Though, that movie sucked more than Robots. Robots tried a little too hard to be funny. With playing Chingy's "Right Thurr" to Britney Spears "Baby One More Time", I grew very sick of the movie. If there was only one scene I liked a little bit, it was the whole battle scene at the end, though it was a cheap Lord of the Rings rip off. Overall, Robots was just what it's trailer indicated. Sloppy. Only in Pixar, I shall trust. C-

Guess Who
7:15 show, 500-seat auditorium, completely packed.

Trailers
Kicking & Screaming
A Lot Like Love
Beauty Shop
Fever Pitch
Lords of Dogtown
Bewitched

Movie
Although it may appear that way, Guess Who isn't, and doesn't claim to be, a remake of Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. There are not many things both films share - Guess Who is a comedy while the older film was more of a dramatic look of race relations. In fact, Guess Who has more in common with a movie like Meet the Parents than anything else. The concept still works; I thought Guess Who was a very good movie. Ashton Kutcher (as Simon) and Bernie Mac (as Percy) are both good at different things here. Kutcher is surprisingly good when it comes to low-key comedy in the film, but he falters when the script requires him to be dramatic, or when he's over-the-top and cartoonish. However, Mac is excellent. His comedy is perfect, and he also acquits himself admirably in the more emotional moments of the film. What might be the best thing about Guess Who is Zoe Saldana, who plays Kutcher's girlfriend and Mac's daughter Theresa. Saldana is not only beautiful, but gives a delightful performance. We believe her relationship with Simon because Saldana is so sweetly believable that you just *want* them to end up together. The relationship between Percy and his wife (Judith Scott, also a nice performance) is also handled well, as their marriage is mostly about sucking it up and knowing your spouse. There are plenty of laughs to be had during Guess Who, and it's an easy film to like, I think. I agree with James Berardinelli, if nothing else, the movie is worth seeing for the wonderful performances of Zoe Saldana and Bernie Mac. B+

I could've done without the "hard" mention. Ew.

But...

Well, yeah. It's the sequel  Anyway...

The Ring Two
Star Cinema, 9:50 p.m.
240-Seat Theater: 60% Full

Trailers:

Dark Water (no reaction)
Red Eye (no reaction)

Film: I still love it. The 240-seater was around 60% full, which ain't bad at all for this time a night, especially considering the show twenty minutes earlier was about 80% full in a similar-sized auditorium.

I'm a bit perplexed at the supposed love for this movie, much less seeing it more than once.. I mean the movie and the 1st one weren't even scary or even close to the definition of scary.. Go figure.. :???:

Because I like the story. I never go to the movies to be scared because it so rarely happens. And I'll say it again: The Ring Two was never meant to be scary. It's not a film that tries to terrify the audience.
