So the 300 people at the screening, there to see Be Cool, all stood up and applauded the trailer for Sin City and threw roses at the screen?

(Funny, because I rarely see any reaction to trailers when I go to the movies except for maybe when I go see an event movie like Lord of the Rings on opening day)

Yeah, I never really see any reaction (other than some chatter or whispering when it's over) for trailers other than comedies.

I only see reactions to Horrors and Comedys.

Comedy's is people laughing, and Horrors is sheer silence, then talking after it.

Best crowd reaction to a trailer iv EVER seen: THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE...Everyone just Shut Up when it came on, and everyone was buzzing after it.

Awesome.

best Ive seen was for the star wars episode III trailer, the crowd whent nuts when the Lucas Films sign showed up, then went silent, and then cheered there asses off after the trailer was over

Second best would be between Spiderman II, The Matrix Reloaded, Harry Potter III.

Since im in the UK, BOOGEYMAN only opened last weekend (it's Currently Number 1)

Trailers:
XXX2- Someone said "that looks shite", right in front of me, lol.
The Amityville Horror - Got lots of gasps, cinema rumbled with the bass during this trailer!
The Ring Two- Whispering
Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy- No Reaction

So yeah, weird Mix.

Anyways. I enjoyed BOOGEYMAN for what it was. A by the numbers, loud noises scare you horror film. Like the GRUDGE was.
The crowd seemed to enjoy it too, jumping and some girls screaming at the jumpy parts.

Enjoyable, if generic.

Amityville and The Ring are going to kick ass over here. Judging by these reactions, and people talking about them.

Also, AMITYVILLE has apparantly been given a 15 Rating.
So, it can't be as violent as TCM was as that was an 18. TCM still managed to gross £4,000,000 With an 18. So AMITYVILLE should do like £5,000,000-£6,000,000 with the 15.

Amityville Horror will be violent, that much is certain, but different violence than TCM was in the sense where Gross Gore won't be the focus of that movie like TCM was.. It'll have it's fair share of gore I'm sure, but done a little more tastefully and tolerable for more repeat viewings.. I enjoyed TCM Remake(although it wasn't better than the original at all)but Intense Gore can only be vieqwed so many times before you gross a person out.. Either way, nice to see this being as well received as it would appear cause it's gonna be damn good..

Robots 7:00pm showing on friday,It was about 50% full in a 500 seater.
The movie was very enjoyable imo, there is no better looking CGI animated film than this one,the visuals are impressive as hell,i would see it again if it came to Imax.
Trailers in order:
Sin City:Great response and before any of you ask why this kind of trailer is shown at a kids film i have to say that in P.R they show any kind of trailers in any kind of film.

Ice Princess:No reaction at all, looks like disney teen fluff.

The Ring 2:I was suprised this got no reaction.

SW:ROTS:Oh how great is to see this trailer on the big screen, everyone went absolutly quite when the lucas logo came on and after the trailer ended it got a great response.

Maybe the RING II getting no reaction the way you described will not exactly bode well for this movie afterall huh?? Perhaps the one's really overexcited about this are the one's that exist in the internet world more than the real world.. Guess will find out this weekend.. :-k
