Wow.. 160 Million in 5 days??? Really??? I suppose I have no room to talk about outlandish box office predictions but this is a tad bit high though.. Something tells me that many of Superman fanboys will be in for a wake up call when this movie underperforms by the end of July 4th..

'Superman Returns' -- with a super budget
For Warner Bros., $260 million movie puts spotlight on overseas box office.
"Fandango says at that point in the cycle, "Superman Returns" was capturing seven times the business of "Cars," 1.5 times that of "Da Vinci Code," twice that of "X-Men: The Last Stand" and five times more than "Batman Begins."

The bullet in eye SHOT cost 2.3 million alone. I guess we'll be outsourcing our special effects work to India pretty soon
Ya i am from india and i can tell you that INDIA worked on some of the SFX on COTN.
Very soon all BIG MOVIE SFX will be done by india. America is fucking expensive and we INDIANS can do a much better job, work harder and produce same quailty visual effects in the least possible money.
We have several animation companies in India.
I will give u a link on rythm and hues india that worked on COTN sometime at the end of june.

Seriously, it would have been great if he had taken the bet. The thing is, though, I don't think he would be capable of admitting that he's wrong.
Somebody should do the same thing next year a day before Transformers comes out, because he's already pushing it as his next movie to shove down everyone's throats to the point where they don't want to see it at all.

Huh? Why not?
Batman Begins fell -40% on it's Thursday, I believe this will be a lot more frontloaded. Sunday, well that's a crapshoot, -28% is normal for a movie these days.

It won't drop more than 20% on Sunday, Shack. Monday is a holiday for many people here, and I think there's a holiday in Canada. It won't have a normal Sunday drop on a holiday weekend.

Tuesday: $3.9 million. Reloaded has $1,800 PTA average for Tuesday night.. I'm using a $1,300 PTA for Supes. 3,000 theaters with a PTA of $1,300 is 3.9 million.
Wednesday: $18 million total
Thursday: $11 million (approx. -40% drop)
Friday: $24 million (approx +120% I know it's big, but the release date was changed very late and a lot fo the marketing things are irreversible. To many, this will be the opening day)
Saturday: $25.2 million (+5%. WotW and SM2 both rose 5.8% and 4%, respectively. I think those are good indicators)
Sunday: $17.5 million (-37%ish)
Monday: $15 million
Tuesday: $11 million
Wednesday: $9 million
Thursday: $8 million
Friday: $9 million
Saturday: $10 million
Sunday: $9 million
3-Day weekend: $66.7 million
5-Day total: $99.6 million
6-Day total: $114.6 million
7-Day total: $125.6 million
8-Day total: $134.6 million
9-Day total: $142.6 million
Second weekend: $28 million - 58%
Second week weekdays: $14 million
Total before third weekend: $184.6 million
Total domestic gross: $267 million
