I still think this film is going to be a disappointment financially. BUT I've got to admit I'm slightly nervous about my -200 prediction (due to the reviews thus far).

given the reviews, wom seems like itll be excellent. what if it hits it 118 million 5 day tracking? what would total? a war of the world 2.3 multiplier gives it a total of 271 million. a 2.7 batman begins multiplier gives it 319 million. it should batman wom but wars compitition, so id say in the middle.
118 x 2.5 = 295 million
yeah i know i doubt itll get 118 milion 5 day but i do think weve all been understimating this flicks legs,

On my end : I still do not know a single person who wants to see this film. Some of these same people loved Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men - but none of them want to see Supes. Hell, I'm one of those people and I'm shocked at the lack of enthusiasm from the non-geek set.
For fellow naysayers: have you noticed a definate lack-of-buzz from normal folks?

Well I know my brother and friend don't want to see it. But that's... 2 people.

I doubt SR will reach $118 million over the 5 days, but however you look at it, it's still going the right direction. As for its multiplier from its 5-day, I'm thinking more of 2.4.

True - I hadn't noticed the latest batch. It IS starting to look really good...

Bought and Paid for by WB..None of the reviews I've read thus far even review the movie.. The REAL review comes when I see it and review it, the way it SUPPOSED to be reviewed.. Everything you've posted thus far is fanboy gushing with not actually reviewing the movie.. I'm sorry but I'm not sold on this and refuse to believe this movie is THAT good and not 1 goddamn bit of criticism thus far, excluding the 3rd review at AICN that doesn't like Routh.. As for this movie making 118 Million in 5 days?? Good luck.. I don't know 1 person outside the internet that consists of 1% that want to see this movie.. If anything, this reeks of desperation if I've ever saw it..

I wonder why in the world with all the positive major media reviews they went with no names at best and
King of the Uber-Shills, Earl Dittman for the ad. Other than Ebert & Roeper probably would have been
pretty ticked to have their review "destroyed" by Superman.

No for the simple reason that like all the other reviews, TIME didn't say anything that wasn't already mentioned.. When I read these so called REVIEWS, I see reviews that simply go through the Motions and do not seem genuinely excited and are saying what needs to be said to sell the movie.. Understand?? In other words, it's almost like the reviews thus far are actually afraid to say anything bad about the movie because it's dedicated to Dana and Christopher Reeve and because of that, this movie will receive a simple "PASS".. No one will actually review this movie for fear of coming off insulting and not caring because that's not the way Reeve would've wanted it.. Think about that for a second and how true this REALLY is.. Myself?? I'm gonna review the movie the way it should be, both Pro's and Con's if it should exist and that's all anyone can ask for.. Why should I sugar coat this cause it's dedicated to Dana and Christopher Reeve??? If the plot totally fuc*s up the continuity of Donner's movie's, you better believe I'm gonna Punch holes in this and as a fan, so should you..

Those are critics who were fine with having their quotes 'burst" through which is why there is shocking lack of
big name critics.
