I was checking cause I can't get a vibe if it is an annoying or funny movie with Will Farrell screaming at the kids in the kids soccer movie.

Anyway, the first half of the people predicting it - had it between 50 to 70 range mostly.
The last half went high with most of the numbers over 100.
Pretty big difference.
And if Will Ferrell is such a big draw in bringing in people -
I wonder what will happen to Bewitch
With
Will Ferrell
Nicole Kidman
Michael Caine
Others
Plus lots of the older crowd - more BO $ - than remembered the tv show.

You realize that there is no way on earth for a CGI animated family movie in the summer to get such a bad multiplier, right?

I'm going low on it, yeah, but it's still going to be more Robots than Shrek.

The problem is not the gross itself, but the multiplier leading to the gross. I think if it opens with $35 million, it's guaranteed to make $140 million at least.

MAY 6TH
- House of Wax - $ 18 - $ 48 (Boogeyman numbers)
- Kingdom of Heaven - $ 32 - $ 114 (somehow I expect it to do much better)
- Crash - can't predict this one, haven't seen or heard much right now
- Mindhunters - $ 8 - $ 18 (saw this one nearly one year ago. Fared well with audiences, somehow the delay hurts this one, but also depending on how many theatres it opens. I expect 'Hard Rain' / 'Assault on Precint 13' numbers)
MAY 13TH
- Kicking & Screaming- I predict this one later.
- Monster-in-Law - $ 12 - $ 36
- Unleashed - $ 16 - $ 42 - hard one, it's not your typical Jet Li flick, but it seems to be a good one.
MAY 19TH
- Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith - $ 95 - $ 518 (I even predicted this total gross number for Episode II. I will not change it, even if the majority says it will only gross a good $ 310)
MAY 27TH
- Madagascar - $ 50 - $ 180 (will 50 million opening enough for landing a pole position?)
- The Longest Yard - $ 36 - $ 120

Personally, I don't see how this can make less than The Stepford Wives.

It's own Mother's Day weekend, and the trailer is getting a lot of laughs. I don't see an opening under $20M.

I didn't make that prediction with too much thought.
It's the only chick flick that will be out, but there's been an overload in April. I don't know. Something around a $75 million total seems right.

But it isn't.
