I've already seen MINDHUNTERS, and while it's not a great movie by any means (5/10 or C-) it was a really fun, very gory flick. My rating might go up when I see it again, and I'll see it in theaters even though I have it on my computer.

Oooh, very gory.
Sounds promising.
I swear, gory flicks need to kick america's arse right now.
After WHITE NOISE, HIDE AND SEEK, CURSED, BOOGEYMAN and RING TWO, while WHITENOISE and BOOGEYMAN were enjoyable horror movies, they werent gory.
If AMITYVILLE provides the gory and intense atmosphere, it could be huge, and HIGH TENSION is gonna kick major arse and shock america rotten.
Hopefully this will be another gory movie to please the gore thirsty horror fans who have so far this year, been underserved.

Lmao, the studios confidence in this movie is a pure joke.
There is no way i'm paying to see this.
I'll wait for television.

I agree. It made my TOP 10 of the last year and it was the best serial-killer flick in years, vastly superior to the whole Twisted and Taking Lives crap. It was also surprisingly gory with more imaginative kills than the Final Destination movies and that says a lot. Good cast, great gore and good suspense. I loved it.
I don't understand why the studio is messing up all this movie's chances. It's not like it's a bad movie or anything. Seriously, if it was released normally with good advertising and a decent theatre count, I could see an opening weekend north of $10 million, but now I almost gave up all my hope on seeing this movie getting any decent gross.
My predictions:
Opening weekend - $6.5 million
Total gross - $16.6 million

And, yet, another move...
Just bring it to DVD, damnit. I'm tired of waiting.

In fact, Miramax/Dimension had tried to send MINDHUNTERS to straight-to-DVD, but the idea didn't get far.
The main problem is that Miramax/Dimension is contractually obligated to give MINDHUNTERS at least a token release.

You will like it.
However, these legs are unrealistic, I mean how many R-rated, 2-year delayed serial killer flicks get a multiplier close to 4?

Mindhunters is very cool movie. I think, that it is one of the best films, which came in 2004 year. It is very strained, interesting and unpredictable thriller. It is impossible to understand, who is the murderer up to the end. And i think, that Mindhunetrs will take not less money than Deep Blue Sea.
My prediction:
OW.......... 19
Total......... 60

I think that this movie will get less publicity than DARKNESS.
It will be released on 5/13, but I still haven't seen any poster and TV spot.

Total: $20 million

This movie's audience target will have crossover with UNLEASHED, which is getting much more publicity.
