That is the stupidest fucking I have ever read. There is no chance that TDK comes close to 200 million. IMAX eschewed it a lot and people saw TDK for as high as $28 when it came out. Enough of your ganders.

I have to give you props here. I've never seen someone both claim another post is "the stupidest fucking thing" and then proceed to actually say "the stupidest fucking thing" in their same post.

TDK did more than it ever could of done on its opening weekend. But will never be on the high crazy levels. I mean, it's third in its own franchise in terms of relevance. I take that back, I'll give it #2 after Batman 89. Now that movie had an impressive opening weekend.

Both of them had impressive opening weekends. Not sure why you seem incapable of acknowledging this fact with TDK.

He doesn't want to acknowledge TDKs dominance, for some reason. Even MOJOs flawed, 3D ignoring formula inflates its opening to $194m. But Thegun knows more I suppose. :hahaha:

Anyone who thinks TDKs opening weekend with inflation. And 3D is under $220m should face the :ban: :bang:

Somewhat of a breath

Good bait my friend, but I was already too bored by the time we had the bump. Good swing though, you almost had a foul tip!

Ticket prices near me: $10.75 regular, $15.75 3D. A gander around other theaters reveals a similar deal. Avengers 3D sales represented 52% of tickets sold. 52% of tickets sold were 50% more expensive than standard equates to am overall boost of 25%+ from a non 3D number.

Technically Proper comparison would be inflating TDKs entire 2008 gross to base 2017 prices. That's $658m, and then add the 3D boost of 15% to 25%. TDK range is $756m to $822m. Opening weekend range of $225 to $244.

You are going both backwards and forwards here. Don't count its OW alone to be $100m with SW and others if you are factoring in inflation along with 3D boost. Your initial post made no reference or change to others for inflation so I was talking only for 3D. One more thing to point out that you are adding 50% as its near your area but I don't think that's true everywhere else and specially not in 2012 when 3D had started to decline and was prevalent only during OW's. Plus 20% is NOT conservative regardless, conservative will be 10%-15% boost in their entire run which would not be enough for it to get a clear lead in total. I don't argue that its OW had bigger admissions but it was close like $210m vs $207m and not a home run like $220m or $240m

Noteworthy about 3D repping a higher percentage on ow compared to total run. Otherwise everything I stated is correct

Your entire second post was based on that Excel. I don't think the overall admissions for TDK and Avengers were far but I still give the edge to the former but its not 100% sure and not how you put it to be. JW on the other hand did sell less tickets in total as well as OW compared to both these movies.
