I'm starting to fear the WB's marketing, they can't seem to properly handle anything other than Potter...

I don't know. If they mess it up, there's a good chance it lands under 250 mil.

this doesnt need marketing for 250 million. it just needs SOME awareness. with a superman returns sized campaign itd break 100 million 3 day easy.

excel is actually right on this one, Batman 2 has already set itself up to be big thanks to wom so incredibly effective marketing wont actually do much for it, WB just needs to make sure they get as high awareness as possible.

Though I still think people predicting 300m+ are being unrealistic.

I think $270m would be great for Batman 2. But Batman Begins was so good that it can definately help this one.

The best release date would be the weekend before Memorial Day. However I suspect Indy IV - may take Memorial Day weekend itself.

The Joker in the next Batman isn't going to look like the Joker in the comics, it's going in a more realistic direction. I think it looks perfect.

I don' tmean to go off, but for the Love of God Nolan, get off this over realism kick for a comic not designed to be this over realistic.. Once you start altering a characters looks like they did with The PENGUIN in BATMAN RETURNS, you turn the audience off who only know the character 1 way.. Don't fix what isn't broken!!! REMEMBER THAT..

I still say whatever BEGINS made is what the sequel will make since it's purely a fan driven movie that hasn't necessarily increased it's fanbase anymore or less that what it has.. I say 225 Million for the Sequel Domestically..

That's $20 million better than what the first one made.

Ok, so now that someone has actually told me what BEGINS made Domestically, I'm betting anyone now that the BEGINS SEQUEL will make no more than 205 Million Domestically.. Same fans, same gross..

Explain to me how it's doubled it's fanbase?? Based on what?? I hear absolutely no one outside the internet talk about BEGINS or it's 2009 sequel.. Again, I give the sequel 205 Million just like BEGINS did..

Not that I agree with BKB, but you are WAAAYYYY off on rentals. Hitch made around $80 million, Hostage (!) $75 million, movies like Cast Away and Gladiator came close to or passed $100 million in rentals...

And i wouldn't call its DVD sales immense, very good is more fitting.

You should agree with me cause I'm right.. This franchise has not increased it's fanbase anymore or less for the sequel to do more than BEGINS.. The BEGINS SEQUEL will be a fan driven movie like the last one where the general audience won't care, especially a young Heath Ledger as the Joker who's younger than Bale for heaven sakes.. This casting choice is as bad as Singer choosing Routh.. 205 Million Domestically..

You know you're the biggest hypocrite, right? I mean, when people say something about a character in Spider-Man like Eddie Brock you call it nitpicking, but it's cool for you to say something lame like " Ledger is younger then Bale " AWFUL CHOICE!!!!!! Yeah, okay. And comparing Heath Ledger, an oscar nominee to Routh? That aint right.\

Again, it's all double standards with you. Raimi screwing around with the Spidey series is all gravy, but when it comes to a movie you're negative towards, you get all over it.

Hes got you on that BKB. How is it you are ok with a 150 lb guy laying Eddie Brock but you have a problem with a guy almost in his 30s playing the Joker?

Joker is suppose to be like 80, BKB is completely right.

Is there seriously complaining about how supposedly they hired an actor who isn't 30 yet to play a character who in the comics is *supposed* to be 40? Big fucking deal. With all the amke-up and shit, late 20s doesnt look one bit different from 40...

Because SPIDERMAN III version of Eddie Brock is from the Ultimate Series when he wasn't this hulking Jock that you have Brock painted up to be and the Duality angle is a much better alternative and YES, Grace is a hell of alot better of choice and actor than Ledger would be as The JOKER.. It was simply a Bad choice and I stick by that so bite me.. Even funnier is I'm not alone in not caring for the choice either.. Ledger does look younger than Bale and it shouldn't be like that.. Plus, this 150 LB guy you paint Brock up to be won't be what your seeing as the character VENOM, That which will be mostly CGI, so it doesn't matter..
