Re: Batman: The Dark Knight Predictions-3 NEW TV SPOTS!
This is very excel-like of me, but the cast appearences on various talk shows: (7/8) Aaron Eckhart - THE TONIGHT SHOW (7/11) Michael Caine - THE TONIGHT SHOW (7/14) Christian Bale - THE TODAY SHOW (7/14) Gary Oldman - THE VIEW & LATE NIGHT w/Conan O'Brien (7/15) Morgan Freeman - THE TODAY SHOW (7/15) Michael Caine & Morgan Freeman - THE VIEW (7/15) Aaron Eckhart - THE LATE SHOW w/David Letterman (7/16) Maggie Gyllenhaal - THE TODAY SHOW (7/16) Maggie Gyllenhaal - THE LATE SHOW (7/17) Maggie Gyllenhaal - REGIS & KELLY (7/17) Aaron Eckhart - LATE NIGHT (7/18) Maggie Gyllenhaal - JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE Damn Gyllenhaal is busy. And only one appearance for Batman himself?

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight Predictions-3 NEW TV SPOTS!
At this point, I'm starting to believe that at least its opening weekend will be very frontloaded. I see a $50 million opening day being a definite possibility...in fact probably even predicting it, yeah. That'd still result in an opening weekend of no more than $125 million, IMO.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight Predictions-3 NEW TV SPOTS!
You mean minimum of max of 125? Re: tv appearences - BB had 1-Holmes on Letterman. She tried to talk about BB...all he talked about was cruise; she changed the subject to war of the worlds...it was bad

I mean: if it makes $50 million opening weekend, it still won't make more than $125 million opening weekend.

I dont see it being as frontloaded ow as expected; there wil lbe quite a bit of overflow due to so many sellouts. The films 2 1/2 hours long and opens alongside 2 other wide releases and theres 3 new ones the weekend before. I dont see an im lower than 2.3 or higher than 2.5, so... Minimum=44x2.3=101 Max=60x2.5=150 Heh, bit broad

I think repeat viewings will be very strong especially with the core fanbase. It sounds like it's a true fanboy-pleaser like Batman Begins.

Psh. BB and its blockbustered up, monorailing flying, one liner spewing 3rd act are the definition of a crowd pleaser.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight Predictions-3 NEW TV SPOTS!
The third act of Batman Begins was great. And I have yet to understand what people find so far fetched about a water vaporizer and a weaponized hallucinogen. Imagine a whole city getting bad trips on shrooms. Sounds like a good way to really mess up an entire city.

That said, I don't give a fuck what the haters say. BB is still a 10/10 because the first hour of it is off the charts. 15/10 if such a rating existed. That first hour completely blew me away.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight Predictions-3 NEW TV SPOTS!
The only cringe worthy scene was Gordon driving the Batmobile and blowing up the bridge and the homeless ghetto dude who says "Nice ride" (who APPEARENTLY has an appearence in this one, saying "nice whip" about the batpod ) THAT got me to cringe. And thats all Nolan. Goyers script called for Bats to dangle from the train longer with Ra's goons on the trains shooting him and fighting him. Gordon on the streets below takes them out. Bats and Ra's fight on the trains rooftop and Bats derailed by blowing sending a batbomb infront of the train at the last minute.

The third act is every bit as classic as the rest of the film.

Hmm....we're going very off-topic with this...must resist.....ah, fuck it. The third act is awesome. It takes everything from the first hour and a half and basically adds the blockbuster element to it that we have been waiting for. Keep in mind, in the end, BB is supposed to be a blockbuster movie. Why it's so amazing is because it is in that rare class of blockbusters that manage to provide high-level blockbuster entertainment as well as provide intelligent film-making, a intellectual and smart script, and great charecters with great acting. The only cringe-worthy scene is when Holmes tasers Scarecrow. Everything else though was fantastic. And I'm surprised you put it at 10/10 and still find this major flaw. I mean, all films have flaws but my favorite films of all time tend to have very little. BB obviously seems to be high in your regards yet you think it has this major flaw. I really can't see how you can love a film that much when you basically think a good portion of it is flawed. That's because during part of the flaw, there is some serious brilliance thrown down. Batman escaping SWAT with the bats is fucking awesome, one of my favorite scenes in the movie. The Tumbler chase scene is AWESOME. Again, one of my favorites in the movie. And the personal conflict between Bruce and Ra's on the train is great, even though I couldn't tell who was winning b/c of the editing/camerawork on the fight. But the microwave emitter is lame as hell. Typical "doomsday device" plot. LAME. LAME. LAME. Now, mind you, the first hour of this movie is incredible and so are the scenes I mentioned above. Plus the final scene on the rooftop makes up for the microwave emitter. It is my single favorite "ending scene" in any movie ever. So as I said, fuck the haters even though I agree with them on the microwave emitter and fight scenes being a flaw. But still, fuck 'em. If that's the best they can come up with, well fuck 'em. I've got far bigger complaints with the likes of Batman '89 (which I also love) and Spidey 2 so fuck the haters.

I always found that to be without a doubt the worst way to introduce the water vaporizer.
