Someone said it earlier, it looks exactly like Father of the Pride, in fact I think that is the whole reason Dreamworks made that show in the first place, to build excitment for this movie, and it failed...thus dreamworks made a good move and pulled it so hopefully everyone will forget about it before the movie..
It will do just like the TV show, good the first 2 weeks and then crickets after that, 175ish , which is good but no where near SW

JUST LIKE FATHER OF THE PRIDE?! If that's the case, this will bomb. That show sucked. I doubt it will be identical, but still. Damn it, I need to see a trailer.

Madagascar's trailers are good and the movie looks like a surfire hit. But I don't think it will even come within 100 mil. of ROTS.

Whenever a CGI comes out, its always underpredicted. Who0 really predicted over 340 million for Finding Nemo anyhow or for that matter Shrek's 430 million gross. Heck even Shark Tale was underestimated since there were people here saying it wont touch 100 million because of its october release date. Not to mention Shark Tale wasnt funny at all and was the only CGI animation movie hated by critics. The only CGI mo0vie pretty much overestimated by people were The Incredibles but I said long time ago, it wouldnt gross 300 million since they were using humans which dont appeal that well to kids. But one thing is Madagascar better be funny and entertaining, not anything like that dreadful Father of the Pride which I turned off after 20 minutes of viewing

I somewhat agree with that, roid. I mean, these types of movies are always underpredicted. Shark Tale was predicted around $100-130 million, and it did over $160 million. Shrek 2 was, well... you know. The Incredibles was overpredicted, though. So many people were predicting over $300 million, and even over $350 million using the excuse that it should beat Finding Nemo. I would have said that Madagascar had a good shot at $300 million (same release date as Nemo), but after watching the trailer, I'm less sure that will happen.
