The marketplace just opened for the Weekend Box Office Game. If you already registered you can now go and buy/sell movies. If you didn't register yet do so before the first price changes, Tues may 17 so you don't lose out on making some speculation funds. The main topic righbt now is whether or not buy Revenge of the Sith at it's initial price of 87 million.
Pick 5 starts Memorial Day Weekend
Movieline just started.

Meh, it's the only one so far I bought.
Will decide on others soon...
Btw theez1..." 1st place: Audiologic® DVD/CD Home Theater System ", must say, one sweet prize. Feel bad now that I suck at this game.

People are excited about the prize, which is cool. I hope to offer stuff like that for future games as well.
The problem with spending all that money at the beginning of the game is that you won't be able to purchase more movies for speculation purposes. That's the real debate. Spend money now for a sure thing or save your money to have more available to invest and try to make up for lost grosses by buying a bunch of less expensive movies.

Well technically you have 250 million left because no movies have been released and there haven't been any price changes. If you invest your money into movies you think will raise in price you can earn more than 250 million. That's the trick. Some players will earn an extra 100 million in spending funds by doing this. So if you want to keep a movie I suggest buying it right before it comes out so in the mean time you can invest in other titles to gain some funds.

Yeah I know, thats why I bought all these movies, because most likely alot of them will be increasing throughout, so I can sell some of them once it increases enough

Are there any games that are easy to play?
I love the Box Office, but I find the buying/selling Box Office games like the one at Hollywood Stock Exchange to seem too confusing.

I agree that HSX is super hard to get into. My game isn't too bad, but the making speculation money part of it has a steeper learning curve. My other two games are super easy for anyone that predicts the box office each week. Pick 5 and Movieline. Take a look.
