At least I don't feel so bad about what I'm going to be predicting for Revenge of the Sith, and even if you and nobody else believes it, I do hope that you will consider it, and at least consider that I'll be pretty close if I'm a off the mark. Stay tuned! It won't be the ravings of a fanboy gone mad, it'll be objective.

I actually think you're $10 million too low on the 4-day weekend.

Oooh, that gets me interested in seeing what your SITH prediction is. My prediction is objective too and not biased since I'm not a fanboy ;).

Pay no attention to that conservative gobbledygook in my analysis for the site. :-$

Well, you'll have your chance to state your case and counter any argument that I make all week long. I'm betting that a lot more will see it from my POV, though. \:D/

I know they will, but I'll be proven to have been more accurate with my prediction once numbers for the movie are out ;).

I'm glad to see that Fever Pitch made it over the $40 million mark. It deserved more than that (Not because I am a Red Sox fan) because it was actually a very good movie.

That's a pretty big Sunday drop for The Interpreter. As we're going into the summer, Sunday's hold should be better now, so I think it's underestimated.

Not quite yet, schools are not out yet here. Next week, they will be.

True, it's a gradual process, but some schools in the country are out, so the Sunday holds should be getting better, not getting much worse as The Interpreter is projecting.

It's very solid. On the other hand, Jet Li movies usually collapse after the first weekend, so the total gross probably won't be much higher than $30M.

This could've had the best leg of any Jet Li's movies given its WOM, if not for Sith opening next weekend. As I commented in another thread, this is the worst release date possible, as Sith will take away so much of the movie's fanbase that the WOM will have a hard time to spread.

It's decent, but with a budget around 45m it wont make a profit domestically. This is actually Jet Li's lowest opening weekend since 99' when Black Mask came out, which was in only 900 theaters.

Rogue Productions is to be blamed for handling it poorly. Next to nothing advertising, delayed releasing.

I am so glad Crash is doing well.

See, I knew they totally should've opened this April 8th like they originally planned. It would've been able to get 2500+ theaters, and with a bigger marketing campaign been much less overshadowed, might have even been able to open at #1.

Plus a good deal of WOM for a month.

Honestly, I think Monster-in-Law, if released last weekend to take advantage of Mother's Day and nothing but R rated releases for competition, could have possibly topped $30M. I guess we'll never know.

Even with 2500 and on April 8th it wouldnt have made over 20m or anything. The last time a Jet Li movie did that was........ never. Im sure it couldve pulled in a good 15m or so though and had some Hero type legs, which is better then Cradle 2 the Grave legs.

Ooooh, Nice weekend.

Glad to see MONSTER IN LAW being a Number 1 hit, and very solid for KICKING AND SCREAMING too. Both should do over $60M.

Solid for UNLEASHED, and a big yay for MILLION DOLLAR BABY.

And WOOHOO for HOUSE OF WAX dropping less than 50%. And less than KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Great drop for CRASH.

:) $30M here we come.
