=D> Not surprised by Monster-in-Law, as those sneak reactions obviously instilled some faith in theater owners. I would expect Sith to be much higher than that, as it looks like George isn't being picky this time. Especially after this weekend not producing anything in the box office stratosphere, I can see everybody begging to put that on one or more of their screens.

If it gets at least 3700 theaters RotS has a $40m opening day in the bag.

I expect it to far exceed that, but that IS a higher count that Spider-Man had. I expect the 3 day, 4 day, and opening day records to fall. I mentioned starting a thread about that, but Goldie decided he doesn't start enough threads, and ripped me off.

When you say you expect the 3-day record to fall, do you mean the Friday-to-Sunday record or just the first three days? I could see it maybe doing something like 44/31/40 for a $115m Thursday-to-Saturday total, but after the massive opening day there's no way it will have enough in it to get the official 3-day weekend record.

No way it'll get the 3-day record. It'd need to open north of $45 million on Thursday to do so, realistically. I don't see that happening. I see around $100 million 3-day at most, but even that is not too likely.

I mentioned it shortly before you decided to put your thread up.
and
I can prove the times if you would like.
