Wicked is looking like absolute monster. I am thinking 150m OW is possible at this point. Let us see how it accelerates into its release.

Oppenheimer sort of got to ride the Barbie wave and benefit from the pop culture impact of Barbenheimer. Seems like Gladiator could be a big benefactor here that we are getting into monstrous grosses for Moana and Wicked.

Here are some comparable OWs adjusted for inflation ($125M+ OW adjusted):
1 Beauty and the Beast $218,412,944 2 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire $217,983,079 3 The Hunger Games $214,837,785 4 The Twilight Saga: New Moon $213,519,751 5 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 $198,685,610 6 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 $195,273,177 7 Captain Marvel $187,791,790 8 Barbie $168,035,295 9 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 $167,272,797 10 Alice in Wonderland $164,972,343 11 Frozen II $159,433,249 12 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 $136,537,230 13 Wonder Woman $129,049,375
Moana would aim for Frozen II on a normal weekend ($160M) as a goal post. I read it's the most viewed movie of the last 5 years. Wicked getting to Twilight levels would need a $180M+ OW.
The only comparables really for Gladiator these days are Twisters/Beetlejuice/TGM perhaps which is a stretch. It seems its the biggest wildcard. Adjusted for inflation, Gladiator's total is at $389M today. In home video sales, all I could find is that Gladiator made $60M (in 01 dollars) in its first week.

Gladiator was one of the first big hits on DVD IIRC. It is a truly beloved classic. This one is getting mixed reviews, and I think most people know going in that it may be OTT and not as good as the first so that should help it with WOM. $75-85m is in play for Gladiator II which would be good considering it should play well into January.

This is getting mixed reviews? I thought it was mid 70s on RT? My prediction is the film is good but Mescal is a dramatic drop off from Russell Crowe and that drops the film into the 'good and entertaining' category.

Glicked has started.
Gladiator 2 overseas weekend: Gladiator II roared to a record-shattering $87 million from 63 markets — the biggest R-rated international opening in history for Paramount, as well as the biggest foreign launch ever for director Ridley Scott.
United Kingdom $11.4 million from 722 locations (G1 lifetime UK gross: $39,497,834) France $10.3 million from 729 locations (G1 lifetime FR gross: $24,460,317) Spain with $5.6 million from 411 locations (G1 lifetime ES gross: $18,256,688) Australia with $5 million from 353 locations (G1 lifetime AU gross: $18,470,283) Mexico with $4.7 million from 922 locations (G1 lifetime MX gross: $11,152,492)
Nov vs May release, should be interesting to see how it holds going into the holidays.

It is rated 15 here in the UK, so not such a feat. 15 is basically a PG-13.
If an 18 made $11.4m then you'd have something to shout about
