 Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
I guess this movie deserves a seperate INTL thread...
So far opening days in Austria (44k), Germany (260k), France (260k+), Spain (360k), Norway (43k), Argentina (88k) - all admissions - are strictly sensational...

 Re: Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
Considering it crashed almost 90% from OD in china, that is unlikely. China Day 2 thursday - ¥3.6M THU / ¥36.1M Total ~ -88.9%

Europe and LATAM will go great but if Asia doesn't step up 1b OS is really really hard, it's the weak link here. They look just ok. Would need a massive blow up in Japan which I really really doubt it will get.

 Re: Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
Spain is doing bonkers... More than 800k admissions in 3 days - same as Germany with double the population...

 Re: Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
Mario is weak for entire Asia (so far) below Minions 2 in Comparison. Unless Japan/Korea overperformed, it will end below Minions 2 (Asia Total)

 Re: Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
Mario in Mexico is simply sensational. $52M already. Looks to have a shot at beating Spider-Man: No Way Home's $81,165,976.

Quote: https://deadline.com/2023/04/super-mari ... 235326157/SUNDAY UPDATE, Refresh for latest…: Coming in higher than Saturday’s projection for the full sophomore weekend, Illumination/Nintendo/Universal’s The Super Mario Bros Movie has barreled its way to an estimated $678M global running cume through today. Of that, $330M is from the international box office to date. The second overseas frame is estimated at $94.1M from 71 markets. This reps an amazing just 28% drop from last weekend’s record-setting opening. 28% drop from opening weekend Mama Mia!

 Re: Super Mario Bros. (INTL)
It makes sense i finally watched it last night in a sold out screening WITHOUT A SINGLE KID IN THE AUDIENCE.
This is making everyone go see it. There were some claps at the end. They REALLY managed to give nothing but fan service and thata what we want right now
