Jurassic Park and TGM both co-existing this weekend is a great sign for the box office overall. If JP somehow manages to hold well enough to get to $400M I believe that's the first time I can recall seeing the top 3 movies all made of eventual $400M+ movies, though may just miss out. This weekend was 31% ABOVE 2019! Jul. 19, 2019 weekend the Top 3 was: 1. The Lion King 2. Spider-Man: Far From Home 3. Toy Story 4 But that was a previous high-water mark as I think the first time we had three $350m+ films in the Top 10 at the same time, so impressive for the market to match that now. Actually was 4 since Aladdin was in the Top 10 as well at the time.

 Re: JW3 Weekend
Not sure where to put this but here are the Thursday #'s: JP $8.66M TGM $6.2M Lightyear $5.2M TGM is down 32% from last Thursday. PTA is down 19.7%. It also passed $800M WW. If it follows last weekends multiplier it would be at $37.3M (-28%). That feels like it might be the floor this weekend. However, since its a 4day weekend and Father's Day, I could see it pull a 15% drop this weekend ($44.1M). It's 4day could be above last weekend's 3day.

 Re: JW3 Weekend
If it does low $40s this weekend and a larger drop next weekend (say 40% to $26.4M), I wonder if there's any chance for it to get past the top 6th weekend of all time (Avatar $34.9M)? Between Elvis, Blackphone, Minions, Lightyear and JP, competition still feels light enough that people could watch TGM again or for the first time that weekend (along with group screenings). Could go up that weekend but would it be enough to get past $35M (+32.6%)? There is a precedent here, The Passion jumped +43.5% over Easter Weekend 2004 to reclaim #1 in its 7th weekend. Other than Veterans Day, feel July long weekend is the one TGM will shine. If any of these predictions end up happening, TGM would be at $574M or so by my rough, rough predictions by July 4th. It will practically have grossed a Titanic box office run (unadjusted) before Thor opens!
