Yup, not reported yet. Based on tracking at BOT they were big.

Got it thanks pe.
Big number for Cruella but it's about how much it can sustain once the movie is available on D+.

Wonder what these mean for the weekend. Really feel like Cruella can do 10m OD with that. Probably 15-20m OD for AQP

That's too big. Cruella might not have the walkin crowd because of D+ release. AQP i think will do $15m but I hope it does $20m OD.

The 2 will indeed combine for $70-80m worth of business over the 4 day weekend.

Absolutely tremendous.

Demon Slayer's previews were $3.8 million, but that AQP2 number is the best preview numbers since Bad Boys for Life ($6.36 million). Extremely promising.

Seems like a film that should have like no front loading, as a family film should see strong multiplier.

GvK started the pathway to recovery and this weekend is going to be the acceleration. 100m+ OW for Black Widow is basically a lock now.

barring any major setback, we should have normal box-office by spring 2022, just in time for The Batman.

Very good for A Quiet Place 2. Definitely helps that it's not on Paramount+ until July 12th.

And I don't think Cruella is going to have much family appeal. So that $1.4 million in previews is probably pretty bad. Besides parents explaining to their children that it's about the evil woman they saw in 101 Dalmatians (probably a major turn off there already), I don't imagine many families/children would have an initial interest based on the trailers and marketing. Plus it's rated PG-13. And there's Disney+ to consider, where a decent chunk of those interested are probably watching it on instead.

Without the pandemic I think Cruella in December would've done well. Open small but be leggy for the holidays as it's enjoyable but I guess not as wide appealing as a live action adaptation. Will be interested to see how it holds. 70m total seems doable if it opens near 20m.

I sort of already gave my reasoning and that's not because of the type of movie. I also do not think the family appeal or overall appeal is that big because this does not look like Maleficent where the fantasy elements drown out evil narrative of the character. The preview number is most likely due to rush of initial fan base of Stone, Disney fans, blockbuster fans and some casual audience who are starved for a blockbuster.

I think it will be fall 2021 when things will get back to normality meaning the grosses are big even with restrictions. Then both Batman and Avatar will absolutely rule 2022.

My main Edward Cullen better be great, only reason I’m interested tbh
