Not unless:
a) It's in some astoundingly grisly and horrific way.
b) Elisha Cuthbert loses her top.

I'm glad I stuck with my Kung Fu Hustle prediction. Even though their both different genres, it reminded me alot of Shaun of the Dead, since both had really great reviews and an internet following, but both had a hard time finding a big audience in the states.

SPOILER (*scroll over to see*)
Paris dies by getting a pole through her head. That's what I heard on Movie Life: House of Wax.

This reminds me, I don't know how Robots is going to get even close to $3.0 million over the weekend, like projections, when it has $0.695 million on Friday. It's more like $2.5 - $2.7 million, in my opinion.
PEACE, Mike

Before BOM's numbers were available, it was $0.767 million on showbizdata. So quite a big difference as you can see. I already adjusted the projections to the new numbers, since most times BOM's Friday estimates are more accurate.

PEACE, Mike As long as we're all throwing in our predictions, I predicted 2.2, even lower then you Casey I might've been wrong about Hustle, but I nailed this.
I predicted $1.8m, simply outstanding prediction IMHO.
But I only predicted it to myself, for all games I purposely "predicted" higher, as I wanted bad score.
That really is truth. I swear.

With a great hold like that, expect around $13.5M for the weekend. That's a 42% weekend drop.
Ahhh, and I predicted around 13 Million to for Amityville which is a nice take for it's 2nd weekend and a movie that you either love it or hate it sort of thing.. Makes me want to go see it again..

I agree on that, in fact I think xXx 2 will drop more, but IMO the trailers are weak, and ads are not much better, so I believe it will follow Cursed.

Yeah, Wax will have a hard time surviving after so many other horror movies, but I've heard a lot more talk for it then many others, so I'm thinking a low to mid teens opening, about 14 mil or so.

The only reason I dont really agree with that is because MTV is marketing the crap out of this movie, they had this special going on for the movie for awhile now. I also think that a slasher horror is much more appealing then a werewolf one, highly doubt it'll do 20m, but maybe 14-15m

I think HOUSE OF WAX will open with something like 12-15 Million. No way will it open with 20 Million. I myself think it looks "good" but not great. Still, I can't stand Paris Hilton! I hate that fugly bitch. I wish she weren't in it. At least she gets killed though.

Fever Pitch: $5.45 million
Robots: $3.30 million (had a fantastic saturday increase of 124%)
