 Sonic - under 80 million club Not feeling it. I would guess a lot of people under 10 don't give a fuck about Sonic or Carrey. And it doesn't look that great to adults. I expect bad reviews as usual for video game movies with potential for radioactive leading to a low multiplier.

Re: Sonic - under 80 million club The redesign lead to A Lot of positive coverage for the second trailer. I actually think his hyperkinetic mannerisms will highly appeal to modern children too.

People are predicting, what $120-$130m ish for this? Halve it.

Re: Sonic - under 80 million club Sonic should do well. The Sonic Dash game is really popular and they've marketed the movie well. As a parent, I'll enjoy going for the nostalgia factor. I played the heck out of Sonic as a kid.

People are predicting, what $120-$130m ish for this? Halve it. This is kind of my feeling. The ceiling for video game movies just seems so low, I'm not sure why this would do as well as Detective Pikachu when Pokemon has arguably done a better job staying relevant over the years than Sonic.
