 Re: 2020 film slate
Birds of Prey will be a hit. Harley is a popular character, it's gonna be an R Rated female Comic Book team up movie. And I bet the trailer will be killer. We'll see.

Hate to say it but nothing about that description suggests a hit. Quite the opposite despite female-power being the force fed ‘IN’ thing by the studios nowadays. With that said, Suicide Squad’s WW performance did surprise me. $200m DOM

The title is fugly and tryhard. Even Harley would be 99% better. I thought they were the same film!! When is GCS opening? They are, I’m saying the change of titles is so bad it will cost it a good chunk of money. I can only speak from personal experience, but the flamboyant name for the movie makes me at least 2x more likely / excited to see it. Discounting transitional words like the, a, of, etc.... the longest title to ever gross over $200M is Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them with six, nobody else has gone past five. The Fantabolous Emancipation has Seven. But when it disappoints I’m sure people won’t blame WB for making yet another unforced error with one of their major franchise pictures. Titles matter! Sticking with this. The title was terrible and a major turn off. Gotham City Sirens or just Harley Quinn would not have flopped. I should have remembered this during the draft!

 Re: 2020 film slate
Not a great start for the year of the female superhero unfortunately
The male or patriarchal audience is going to latch onto a film this year in the face of Black Widow, Wonder Woman, Mulan, etc. just not sure which one it is. Tenet would be a good candidate

I think males will be fine with BW and WW. This always looked a little too for lack of a better word “frivolously girly”.
