The Grudge is having great drops for a horror film.
I'm almost positive it'll make over $100 million

Does anyone have an explanation?

That seems like a rather large drop for Grudge, but I guess it's just me.
I'm thinking Friday Night Lights is going to have a larger than normal drop this weekend due to high school football season ending.

That is possible. The marketplace is also becoming more crowded very rapidly, so it wouldn't surprise me.
