REVENUES AFTER PRODUCTION COST

Basically, this is an estimate of the amount of money earned (or lost) so far in a film's run, taking into consideration the production cost. Note: Marketing costs have not been accounted for (couldn't find the info), so in actual fact, all of the films have an even greater loss.

You can what a real success Diary of a Mad Black Woman is, as well as M$B and Hitch, which has been a huge hit for Sony!. They are already profitable, without having been released on DVD yet.

Hitch and other films will make an even more handsome profit after overseas grosses, and DVD revenues are taken into account.

Clearly, however, the domestic box office receipt is not the only revenue stream, else none of the films could earn back their costs.

Out of all the films below, I expect only Sahara and Son of Mask to remain either in the red, or barely break even. The others should do alright.

Correct me if I'm wrong, (box,) but I believe Kung-Fu Hustle just had the highest PTA ever for a film in April. Most films which had high PTAs in the month of April were IMAX releases, and I didn't find another non-IMAX movie with over $20,000 PTA in April except for Winged Migration, which had $33,128 in only 1 theater. So being able to get over $40,000 in 7 theaters is very impressive.

It appears that the film has indeed broken the record. It was held by Fantasia (IMAX), btw, from 53 theatres. Winged Migration is #4. Among non-IMAX releases, it is easily #1, with Winged Migration, as you said, #2. Here's the chart for the Highest April PTAs, unadjusted:
