Pretty disappointing for Million Dollar Baby to make only $0.1 over Mystic River's first wide weekend. Especially since Mystic River had 500 less theaters and no Oscar nomination hype to help it. There should have been substantial growth between Mystic's opening and Million's. Now it seems highly unlikely that Million will outgross Mystic, and we can definitely kill its chances at winning Best Picture. =(

Oh man, you guys jump to conclusions quicker than anyone on the planet.

It's the biggest reason why box office forums became boring and predictable for me, and comments like the one above are just frustrating to no end, because he's actually serious. ](*,)

Libs, really - i thought you would have known that by now :D

And BloodRayne stars Kirstanna Loken, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Rodriguez Michael Madsen and Billy Zane.

All are pretty C list names, although Lokens kinda B list.

But Tara Reid and Christian Slater are easily D list

Was about to sa the same thing. It continues to plow along and should finish with a decent gross in the end.

Ben Kingsley is C list star? He won Oscar best actor award.

He will be in thriller "Lucky Number Slevin"(Bruce Willis/Morgan Freeman starrer movie), "Oliver Twist" (a Roman Polanski film). It proves that he is still a hot actor.

I agree. Kingsley is anything, but a C-list star. It is just sad to see him in movies like this and Thunderbirds

Bloodrayne looks to be the best Uwe Boll picture out there - its marketing and stars are certainly the most appealing to date.

But thats not saying much.

Here is a great quote for that:

"Saying Uwe Boll’s Alone in the Dark is better than his 2003 American debut House of the Dead is akin to praising syphilis for not being HIV."

You catch my drift...

Ben Kingsley is not a box office actor. Hes a thespian - and his participation in box office driven films always seems to end in disaster and poor reviews...so go Bloodrayne Go. He probobly is a B list actor though, rather than C list.

Kristanna Loken could have had a bright future in movies - but she made some LOTR style epic http://imdb.com/title/tt0387541/ which turned out to be pushed into a $23m tv movie [god knows what happened- im thinking distributions fell through as the site openly invites distributers to get in touch....]

and then BloodRayne.

Patience is a virtue that actors like Loken cannot afford, so after their big breakout they are forced to take any old tripe that comes their way - or fall into obscurity.

But yeah, she could still be saved in Hollywood; shes a pretty woman who i felt was excellent in Terminator 3, and hopefully some decent projects will start coming through for her that will show her ability as an actor, since the role of Terminatrix didnt exactly let us see much apart from her ability to pull of chilling mannerisms as a femmebot.

I saw the movie and it definitely was intended to be a TV movie in first place (considering its running time and its production values)

M$B's numbers are a bit short of what I was expecting, but it will hold up extremely well over the next 4 weeks. I'd say it's a lock for 65m, and it still has a shot at 100m. Not bad at all.
