Rev wrote: any Tina Turner songs on the list?? Think I'm into her legs and dancing/charisma more than the songs other than maybe Private Dancer (80s). Loved this clip I saw yesterday |

3. Supertramp - Take the Long Way Home Love the harmonica and piano combo in this and the tone of his vocal performance, when the instrumental hits the chorus with it feels great. A nice song about someone reflecting on their life and what they could have been or might have been, and taking the long walk or drive home to enjoy the ride on purpose. This song may be even better a little bit later in my life when I can relate to it more. |

2. Fleetwood Mac - The Chain I think this one of the songs that combine Buckingham and Nicks vocals the best, normally they are taking turns. This two voices makes "the chain" concept work. The instrumental is great with the guitar opening, and the bassline drop, solo and final chorus in the last part of the song being amazing. There is an intensity and rawness to it with lyrics like "if you don't love me now, you will never love me again". |

1. Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill Something about this song sounds and feels so nice. I guess it's the guitar part, especially after the violin kicks in, and then he starts some nature imagery descriptions. The song is apparently inspired by him leaving Genesis, but feels open enough to relate to it, and creates the feeling of someone having taken a chance and gone on some new personal journey. |
