I've actually never heard of them before.
Just listened to Bang! and Don't Throw Out My Legos and I'm completely fine with them.
Don't really love them, but I wouldn't turn it off either if it came on the radio or something.

I don’t know of a specific complaint against AJR other than maybe the anti-weed song. The music isn’t good but no worse than any of their counterparts. I think most of these bands get hate because of the Imagine Dragon effect, where pop songs are mislabeled as rock so rock stations can play pop music. Maybe it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but imagine clicking on a spotify link for the hottest new pop bop and being blasted with a death metal song instead. :funny:
