I've never posted in this thread before!? I'm just a casual Taylor fan though, but I do generally enjoy most of her music. Voted for Speak Now in the poll.

1. Speak Now
2. Fearless
3. 1989
4. Taylor Swift (favorite song of hers is on this album though)
5. Lover
6. Folklore
7. Red
8. Reputation

Haven't listened to Evermore (yet).

I think Speak Now with her vocals now will be exxxcellent.

A bit nervous about 1989 given as to how the pop tracks on Red were kind of off but Wildest Dreams was done well so we'll see.

I'm really liking a surprising amount of the bonus tracks. Had heard Babe and The Moment I Knew before, still good. Girl At Home, Better Man, Nothing New, Message in a Bottle and The Very First Night were all new to me and really could/should have been on the album.

All Too Well won video of the year for whatever that is worth. I wonder if it'll be a player at the grammys.

More importantly, Taylor showed up and was not pregnant. I was a little worried about that considering how uncharacteristically out of the spotlight she has been all year.

She'd be the first one to break a million on streaming. And it'd triple Evermore's first week "sales" if it did. Yet, with the hype around the album I can see it happening.

I don't really find any of the songs on Taylor's album to be very memorable despite listening to it several times

I reset the poll. And I have a new/old #1 for the rankings.

1. Lover
2. Red remake
3. Evermore
4. 1989
5. Speak Now
6. Fearless Remake
7. Reputation
8. Midnights
9. Folklore
10. Taylor Swift

Putting Lover back at #1 after doing a full relisten of the discography. It's not just the songs themselves, but I'll always remember the night it came out when my flight from Newark was delayed by 6 hours and I didn't get come until 3am and I was so upset, but then the new Taylor record turned all my bad feelings into good feelings.

Also, Midnights is about to get a 9.6/10 from me and its only #8. What an incredible discography! And she's only 33! She's going to have over 300 good songs by the time her career is over.

10. TS

Fearless is the best and Reputation and self-titled are the worst, but she doesn't have a bad album. Reputation still has some good songs and self-titled has greatness in it, she just needed a few more songs to replace the filler ones in the middle.

1.57 million first week holy shit she nearly doubled the previous record for the streaming era.

Also, if you take the Kanye songs off Reputation then its just as great as the rest. But those 3 or 4 are definitely cringey now.

I'm glad she didn't make Karma about that feud. I think it's about Scooter Braun.

I like Red-Maroon-Clean being a trilogy. Red: exciting/early part, Maroon: things have become more complicated and going downhill, Clean: Washing it away at the end.

I am aghast, words completely fail! I got waitlisted for verified fan, completely shut out during Capital One, and now I don't even have the chance to try for general sale?

ABOLISH TICKETMASTER.

ABOLISH TICKETMASTER.

Same happened to my boyfriend who’s a big time Swiftie, he’s devastated. And this is with her doing TWO stadium shows in Denver. gah!

So... they let a whopping 1.5 million people (still just 40% of the reported 3.5 million who registered) in for the pre-sale, and those 1.5 million fans (many being scalpers, no doubt) bought up all the tickets since they allowed them to buy 6 tickets each...

Is that right? No public pre-sales nor general sales at all?

And how much were these tickets?! People are showing they had to pay anywhere from $70-125 in service feels alone on ONE ticket...

Maybe Ticketmaster needs to be regulated/broken up.

Ticketmaster has conditioned people to accept 30% service fees as normal.

The prices are crazy, but that's another thing we've been conditioned to accept. The rollout was a disaster though and many people weren't able to get tickets at all even though she is playing multiple nights in every city. So ticketmaster is gonna be under the microscope for a few days but nothing will come of it because nobody wants to get on the wrong side of their parent company Livenation (the people who book the tours ...)

There was a "public" pre sale for Capital One card holders, but it was also a complete disaster. They postponed it a day with little advance warning in the first place, and then barely anyone got any actual tickets from it.

I had four different shows open on four different tabs in my browser, was in the waiting room very early, refreshed immediately when the queues opened. Of my four choices, my best position in line was like 11,000. Waited about two hours before my first queue let me in, and when I finally got in, it just took me a screen with a countdown to the (now canceled!) general public sale. No language whatsoever about "all tickets are sold out" or anything. They didn't even have the decency to cut off the queues when stock ran out.
