Yeah those two, and Taylor, completely changed the pop game and actually made the genre as good as rock somehow.

Top ten pop albums of 2010s:

1. Body Talk - Robyn
2. Speak Now- Taylor Swift
3. 1989 - Taylor
4. Emotion - Carly Rae Jepsen
5. Lover - Taylor
6. Dedicated - Carly
7. Emotion Side B - Carly
8. Red - Taylor
9. Reputation - Taylor
10. Badland - Halsey

Ari, Charli and Ed Sheeran would make up all the close calls.

NEither Speak Now or Red should be considered pop albums. they have shades of pop but the main genre goin on is country

Kesha should also be there. She used to be the white trash of pop.

And she fucking slays Anything better than Taylor ever did

It's about a month after every album release that I once again feel like there are not enough Carly Rae Jepsen songs in this world. :tears:

The new album Dedicated Side B is good, it's not great though.

I was a little worried she'd follow in Lorde/Billie Eilish's footsteps and make an album that was way too chill and ended up being boring. But nope, the Chill level is exactly right, and the summer vibe fits her perfectly.

New album in October. :D

I'm seeing her at the end of September too. Should be a good mix of new songs and old.

Saw her live last night, and while I liked the Dedicated tour alot, she has really improved her act in just a few years. Totally brought it and picked an excellent set too, not just the hits you'd expect, but some random deep cuts from the past too. Never thought I'd get to hear Warm Blood or I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance. The Dedicated Side B tracks all sounded great too. Jack Antonoff even came out to do the second verse of Comeback, and Carly returned the favor by performing Shadow with him later on.

Also heard this new song for the first time and love it. Best song of this era For Sure.

The Oct 21 Apopalypse is gonna be wild.
