I could see Anti-Hero have a run at the top like Easy on Me did, where it drops off precipitously but stays at the top for double digit weeks due to low competition and the fact that it simply started so ridiculously high. Easy on Me already had come back to earth by its fourth week on top and was being out streamed but its radio kept its points narrowly ahead for 2 more months

Pretty monumental Billboard charts this week. Sam Smith finally gets to #1 with his 20th charting song.

How long till Taylor Swift unseats him though

Taylor will have at least 8 of top 10 next week. Hoping for full top 10!

Fall will likely have higher turnover of #1 songs. Smith, Swift, Rihanna, Drake, new Styles, etc.

I thought Question would be the weak link and make her miss this record, but it ended up at 7, even above Youre On Your Own Kid which is two spots above it on the album. I figured that Bejeweled had a video, Karma had an extremely catchy hook and Vigilante Shit had a big appeal to the Ari/Billie fans and thus they'd all be safe bets. I wonder where Labyrinth, Sweet Nothings and Mastermind ended up.

Grats to Taylor. Midnights is definitely the album of the 2020s so far.

I think song order was the biggest determining factor there.

Question was actually the song that risked the top 10 but Taylor put instrumentals on her shop for it and Bejeweled which helped it peak more.

Mastermind, SN and Mastermind ended up being 13, 14, 15

First time in Billboard history that no males have been in the Top 10.

Meghan Trainor's song is doing decent on Spotify and feels right for Christmas season despite not being a literal Christmas song

Taylor will hold on to the Hot 100 #1 spot for a second week but Rihanna debuts at #2. With Black Panther's release this weekend, could push her to #1 next week if nothing else gets there.

I kinda figured that would happen. Lift Me Up is a song people listen to once, nod their heads, then go back to their regular rotation of songs. Whenever Rihanna released a pop bop it will go #1 and stay there for awhile though.

Can Anti-Hero hold off the Drake storm? Probably not. After that, it will return to #1 until Christmas music takes over. Will end up being her biggest hit song since Blank Space.

Hope Taylor pushes both Lavender Haze and Midnight Rain as singles. Given how she'll probably relesse Speak Now TV next year before tour probably not lol

Yeah I think both songs are already so popular that releasing them as singles/videos would have little effect.

I do think we will get a Vigilante Shit remix as a single though. Would be a good time for Taylor to finally let a woman vocalist have a verse on one of her songs.

Anti Hero remix with Bleachers was released. I dunno if it'll able to hold off Rich Flex but it guarantees that Drake and 21 Savage won't match her 10/10 record.

The remix strategy worked. :hahaha:

When is the last time someone was able to hold off a new Drake release?

Drake and 21 Savage probably were both sitting on the toilet when they wrote this album so good for Taylor!

Has it really only been one year since Encanto came out? Feels like forever ago

I had to drive several hours this past weekend and listened to some radio. Not really familiar with the majority of the Top 40 (or whatever), so wanted to hear what's charting lately. Disliked/indifferent to much of the current hits (so MANY are sampling old songs now), however...

Unholy is a banger.
