Re: Jake Bugg I didn't know there was a thread for Jake. That's cool. I really like his first album. He has a new single out that's from his second album that's to be released. The song is called What Doesn't Kill You and it's a bit more punk-ish than the songs from his first album. I really like it.

Re: Jake Bugg The more aggressive sound was disconcerting for me at first, but I dig it now.
The new album is produced by Rick Rubin, which is a fairly big career moment and vote of confidence for Jake.

Re: Jake Bugg Unfortunately, the quality of his output has gone down with every release. The new LP, while not unpleasant, very rapidly goes in one ear and out the other and is short on potent tunes.

I thought he did a fine job on stage. People didn't like his voice (which I get) but the sound while he played was really great (as in this festival usually has shitty sound and later that evening they just confirmed that).
