R.E.M. split
No thread on R.E.M.'s split? For shame.

Very sad news, IMO. They were a great, influential band. And after a rough patch, they had returned to form in a major way with Accelerate and, in particular, Collapse into Now.
I am eager to see what the band members do now, though. A Michael Stipe solo album...should be interesting.
