It's pretty damn good, a little repetitive, but so was Gimme More to begin with. We'll see how it grows on me!

Slave 4 U, Gimme More and My Prerogative all were a bit "meh" to me when i first heard them, i like Womanizer more out of the gate, but all of those songs grew on me considerably. Dont know if Womanizer can boast the same.

I feel like she needs to stop over-processing her vocals now and retrain her voice.

anyway, hasn't Britney mastered the whole talking in a song thing better than any other artist.

She was never a great vocalist, but she always had such a distinctive voice. That distinction is a bit lost on Womanizer because of all the work on her vocals.

So I definitely agree with you on that.

As a young girl she could belt a song out - her mothers tell all underlined how much she misses her daughters "natural talent" which was "lost" when the producers got hold of her.

I think Womanizer is a great, fun pop track, but it seems like with every new album Britney's vocals are getting more processed. I like her croaky Toxic voice, i think it was sexy and seductive and perfect for the kind of pop she was singing.

I also think the production on the chorus is missing something.

Womanizer is sort of Toxic meet Ooh Ooh Baby.
Its all sort of an assault on the listener, theres not been a pop song this fast paced in years.

In comparions, Gimme More, Toxic, Stronger, Born to Make you Happy, Baby one More Time and Piece of Me are the only Spears songs id give a straight 5/5

Slave 4 U is 4.5/5 territory
So id say this is a good Spears song, but not her best, although it probably will grow once the video hits, i just hope Circus can match the single and even more importantly, match Blackout.

The chorus to me starts with "Boy you're..." and there the music is based on intro. The intro is all sorts of great for a pop song, but during the chorus they kinda removed all that great beat impact. They lost something. So if we're talking abut the same thing, I agree there too.

Truth be told, I think Radar would be a much stronger single than Womanizer.

I love Britneys natural voice. Go on YouTube and search her singing live and while it's always a different tone or style, its very sultry. And fuck can she actually sing live, which people always forget, she doesn't because she puts on a show and always kills it.

Her voice isn' the same in Womanizer but we can still tell it's Britney, obviously.
